Match the cleaner and brushes to the wheel finish, then work methodically without letting chemistry dry.

Before you begin

Make sure the wheel is cool and identify whether it has a standard clear coat, bare metal, a matte finish or existing damage. If in doubt, begin with a mild cleaner.

The right approach

Rinse loose grit, apply cleaner evenly and agitate faces, lug recesses, barrels and tyre sidewalls using separate tools. Never allow wheel cleaner to bake onto the surface.

REJDI TIP

Consistency beats force. Use clean tools, controlled product amounts and enough light to see what the surface is telling you.

Final checks

Rinse thoroughly and dry around fasteners and spokes. Applying a compatible wheel sealant can make later maintenance faster and reduce how aggressively brake dust needs to be cleaned.

Quick checklist

  • Work on a cool, stable surface
  • Keep clean and used tools separate
  • Test first when material compatibility is uncertain
  • Read the manufacturer label before use
